For Large hole beads. Your beads need to have a hole at least 3/32" (2.38mm) in diameter. Not all beads are uniform, no matter what the package says the hole diameter is. Or, you can beadweave with large seed beads, triangles, cubes, etc., or layers of beads, in peyote, netting, and your other favorite bead weaving stitches. Actual Size: 5 1/2"H x 2"W. The portion to be decorated is about 2 1/2" long. The End Cap screws on.

You need to have the Adobe Acrobat Reader Version 7.0 version program to view and/or print out any available graphs/patterns which are in *.pdf format (stands for Portable Data File). IT IS FREE! Click here to get it straight from Adobe. You download and install Acrobat Reader once, and use it for free. Other than hand-made glass or polymer beads, beaded beads (over a wood bead or spool, etc.) most of the large hole beads are acrylic, metalicized acrylic, or wood. Most come from The Beadery, (thebeadery.com) a company that sells through craft retailers such as Hobby Lobby, Michaels, JoAnns, Wal-Mart, and other stores. Their beads are also sold on internet sites. You can look at their site for bead names and numbers, then look for a source on the internet. Darice (darice.com) also distributes comparable beads through retailers and internet sites. Many acrylic, metalicized acrylic, and wood beads do not have a big enough hole. Be sure to take something with you to measure. If you are adventurous, you can drill a larger hole in the acrylic beads, but it's not fun. Some of the glass beads at craft retailers will fit. |
